We still use this but the 2nd day it was up, the squirrels chewed a hole in it. We used duct tape to fix it and kept using it. The lid and perches are a heavy metal, I just wish the plastic tubing was more substantial.

Hi,
Droll Yankees will replace all parts, free of charge, if they are destroyed by the animals. I had a similar problem, but they sent a replacement tube, right away!!
In the long run, this is cheaper than replacing the other feeders, year after year.

I had this last year and really loved it....until the racoons found it and totally destroyed it. (The tube is plastic) It's too expensive to just throw away.
